Bollywood saw the greatest day at the Oscars today when legendary musician AR Rahman won not one but two Oscars for the categories of Best Score and Bets Original Song. While O Saya won the first one, his other Slumdog Millionaire song Jai Ho won the Oscar for the other category.
Rahman also performed the songs on the grand stage of the Kodak Theater and was given a loud applause. This is certainly a great for India, as Rahman is the greatest musician the country has ever seen and he has finally been recognized at the international stage.
Rahman also won the Golden Globe and BAFTA awards before. Slumdog Millionaire has won as many as 8 Oscars including the Best Movie and the Best Director awards.
Congratulations Rahman!
